Romeo Zulu

A poem from The Watchman of Africa

Stolen Glory

Romeo Zulu, 2021. On who built, who discovered, and who took the credit.

We built,
We discovered,
We invented,
And they claimed credit.

We gave them education,
Now they claim to be the fathers of it.
We explored the world before them,
But they call themselves discoverers of lands.

Perplexed by the Pyramids,
They credited extraterrestrials with building them.
Students now call their teachers uncivilized.
